Mohammed Radi
Network Interoperability Engineer

Mohammed, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., is a Network Data Modelling Specialist (CIM) at UK Power Networks, contributing to projects addressing network data interoperability, including network data integrations, LTDS, and GC0139. Previously, he worked as a senior researcher on the EU Horizon 2020 TDX-ASSIST project, coordinating transmission and distribution data exchanges for renewable integration. His focus areas include power systems, CIM, network data modelling, renewable and EV integration, and smart power networks. Mohammed is committed to advancing interoperable network solutions that support efficient planning, operation, and decision-making across modern power systems.
Thomas Reneaume

A graduate of SupElec, Thomas Reneaume began his career at Innovafeed, an industrial start-up, where he spent three years specializing in the design, development, and validation of automation systems. He then joined ENEDIS and now holds the position of senior expert in network forecasting and the integration of new applications in network management, such as storage facilities and the control of low-voltage photovoltaic installations.

Alexander Pfnier, MSc in Electrical Engineering, has nearly 15 years of experience in the battery sector and extensive expertise in the development of battery storage systems, particularly in software development for Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS). In addition to development, his work has focused on data analytics and predictive maintenance of battery storage systems. Since September 2025, he has been working at Burgenland Energie as Energy Storage Manager, where he is responsible for implementing the company’s storage strategy and integrating innovative storage solutions for a sustainable energy future.

Eduard is an Assistant Professor at TU Wien, where he excels in his role as a Coordinator of Digitalization for the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) within the Joint Programme on Hydro. Additionally, he serves as a Chair for a COST Action and is a respected member of the ETIP Hydropower and ETIP SNET Governing Board. With a passion for advancing digitalization in energy research and a commitment to collaboration, Eduard plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the energy industry.

Responsible for analyzing the longterm effect of electric mobility on the electricity grids, Baerte helps building a sustainable business case around this transition. This includes vehicle2grids, solving regulatory barriers and cyber security. He was board member at ElaadNL and is Vice President of E-Mobility Europe.

Ralf Heisig is Product Lead for Future Product development within Modular Control Center System (MCCS) at 50Hertz, with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector. Holding a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Communication Technology (FHTW Berlin), Ralf previously held key technical and leadership roles at Vattenfall and Siemens Energy & Automation. Driven by passion for grid digitalization and future product development, he spearheads innovative, vendor-agnostic control center solutions and pushes renewable integration. Ralf also leads the Vendor Agnostic Solution task force at ENTSO-E RDIC WG5, inspiring teams to collaboratively shape the future of smart grids and Europe’s energy transition.
Tim Slangen
Grid Strategist Power Quality

Tim Slangen is a Grid Strategist at the Dutch distribution system operator Stedin, where he is responsible for policy and strategy development on Power Quality and Network Protection. He obtained his PhD degree from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2023, researching the effects of electric vehicle charging on power quality in cooperation with ElaadNL. Tim now applies the research insights to address the emerging challenges caused by the integration of renewable energy sources in the network and actively contributes to several working groups and projects in this domain.

Sjors is grid strategist with a focus on automation in the distribution grid at the Asset Management department of the Dutch DSO Stedin. His responsibilities are policy regarding network services, operational technology/IoT, analytics and grid control. He has over 10 years experience on infrastructure automation. Mainly in the energy sector but also in water systems (canal locks, bridges and flood barriers). Which results in extensive insight and experience in system -engineering, -architecture, sourcing, standardization, asset management and (technology) roadmaps.

Rihards Sirmais is Innovation Lead at JSC Sadales TÄ«kls, Latvia’s largest Distribution System Operator. With a background in environmental engineering and geomatics, he has extensive experience in infrastructure (construction and utility) projects, digitalization, and applied research. At Sadales TÄ«kls, firstly he leads innovation initiatives with grid resiliency in mind but non the less grid efficiency, EV charging solutions and predictive maintenance is kept in his line of sight.Â
