Tõnn Arro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently, he serves as the Project Manager for Grid Flexibility Services at 2025 Elektrilevi OÜ in Estonia. Prior to this role, Tonn spent four years at Skeleton Technologies, where he contributed to the development of supercapacitor and battery-based energy storage solutions. His career began in 2010 at Svenska kraftnät in Sweden, where he held positions including power system operational planning, grid supervisor at the control center, and long-term grid development. Tonn’s expertise spans across grid management, energy storage innovation, and operational planning.
Louise ORIOL

Louise ORIOL is an expert in electricity system regulation and economics.
As a project manager in the electricity markets office, then in the renewable energies’ office in the French Ministry of Energy, she was responsible for regulations relating to renewable energy (e.g.: support scheme design, framework for self-consumption). She joined RTE in 2018, first as project manager for renewables and storage integration for real-time balancing and network congestion management, then, from 2022 to 2024, as an advisor to the New Flexibilities for the Electricity System Director where she worked on a strategical plan to identify the flexibility needs from a grid and system perspective. In 2025, she has been in charge of managing the public debate for the ten-year French network development plan and is now head of the department in charge of identifying the long-term grid development needs.

At Elering, She has led impactful initiatives such as market liberalization, the creation of electricity and gas Datahubs and a consumer portal, balance management reforms, contributing to the establishment of a regional gas zone, and Estonia’s synchronization with the Continental European grid. She hold’s a Master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering and another Master’s degree from the Faculty of IT focusing on Digital Transformation in Enterprises.

Christian Hewicker has 25 years of experience with the design, operation and regulation of European electricity and gas markets, focusing on system flexibility and the integration of renewable energies. Based on his comprehensive technical and economic understanding, he has furthermore been advising grid operators and developers alike on assessing and optimising the operation and business case of energy storage at both transmission and distribution levels.

With 20 years of experience at commercial firms such as STRABAG, Sacyr, Arcadis and CBRE, he has led major infrastructure projects, including the commissioning of 380 kV powerlines and substations for TenneT. He now develops scalable, market-driven solutions to grid congestion, inspired by DBFMO/PPP principles, combining strategic stakeholder management with hands-on execution while sharing insights through seminars and publications to drive the energy transition.

Andri Viðar Kristmannsson is an electrical power engineer with both a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering from Reykjavík University. His master’s thesis explored the impact of large-scale underground cable systems, with a focus on transient behavior and harmonic analysis. He joined RARIK in 2021, initially working on integrating new control systems for the company’s control center. Since 2023, Andri has served as a Development Specialist, focusing on network planning and analysis and supporting the adoption of emerging technologies such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to strengthen Iceland’s energy infrastructure. |
