SGT25 Infrastructure Investment Day

Recent research with 100+ of our utility customers revealed an urgent need for deeper collaboration and more effective cooperation between the hierarchies within utility organisations, as well as between utilities across European borders, and with the supplier community!

But with competing priorities at the top of the organisation, budget constraints in the middle, and less career certainty and stability at the grass roots, it has never been more challenging for utilities to drive industrial scale implementations of new technologies and processes in order to ensure future energy security across Europe.

It is with this in mind that at SGT25 we have extended the strategic plenary sessions to a full day of utility panel discussions focused on Infrastructure Investment opportunities and challenges. These crucial conversations have been requested by you and your peers, to provide the senior management context you need, to help you prioritise and drive your innovation and implementation projects with more speed and efficiency.

Just some of the discussions that will take place during the plenary sessions include:

  • Grid Modernization and Expansion – determining the infrastructure investment priorities of leading utilities and understanding the implications for the power grid supplier community

  • Renewable Energy Integration – re-organising to drive more rapid integration of renewables into the grid to support congestion management and ensure long term energy security

  • Energy Storage Solutions – reviewing the results of grid scale energy storage pilot projects and determining the roadmap for wider implementation into European grid infrastructure

  • Cybersecurity and Grid Resilience – predicting the impact of mounting geopolitical tensions on new cyber threats and identifying next generation strategies and solutions to combat these

  • Artificial Intelligence - leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Internet of Things (IoT) to radically enhance grid management and optimize grid operations

  • Workforce Development and Skill Transition - building up the next generation grid workforce through training programs and initiatives that attract and retain top talent

That’s not all! This day will be followed by an evening Awards Ceremony, a two-day case-study conference comprised of 6 technical tracks, and a comprehensive peer networking and technology scouting programme, inspiring and empowering you to build new alliances and drive new implementation projects, at the speed of the digital age.

Alert your Network! Help us spread the word and invite all those who would benefit from joining this conversation. Forward this email to colleagues in other departments and peers in partner organisations.
